Photo Licensing

Introduction

Most photos are licensed under a permissive license of some sort - after all, exposure is in the best interests of both fursuiters and myself. However, there are a few rules in place to protect both my interests and those of people who wish to share my photos.

General Licensing

Creative Commons License

Most photos on this site taken by myself may be used under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 2.5 Australia License (or any later version). This will be indicated on either the individual image or the gallery it is contained in.

Posting to Fur Affinity

I request that any photos published on or after September 1, 2013 are not posted to Fur Affinity. It should be well known by now that I am not considered welcome on that site, and in return I do not consider them welcome to my content.

Note that I can not prevent reposting a Creative Commons licensed work to Fur Affinity or any other site if the terms of the license are complied with. However I consider this a matter of courtesy, and should the request not be respected I may cease to license works under a permissive license in future.

Images Posted to WikiFur

Any images that I have uploaded to Wikifur may be used under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License - this will be indicated specifically.

Special Licensing

Some photos from events are licensed under special conditions or dual licensed. These conditions are listed below.

MiDFur

Photos from MiDFur 2008 and MiDFur 13 are no longer published by myself due to my utter disdain of the event chairman and his actions. However, there are photos in the wild published previously by myself and by the event. The licensing terms below apply to the photos in question.

Please note that all original material from these events has been purged, and can no longer be supplied upon request.

MiDFur 2006

Photos from MiDFur 2006 may be used under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 2.5 Australia License (or any later version).

MiDFur 2008

Photos previously published may be used under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 2.5 Australia License (or any later version).

Note: This license directly conflicts with the unenforceable terms of entry of the event. This is intentional, as I feel it important for the subjects of the photos to be able to distribute them. As I retain copyright on the images in question I am within my rights to license them in such a manner.

MiDFur 13 - General

Photos previously published may be used under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 2.5 Australia License (or any later version). Photos from outside the Fursuit Photo Shoot are not dual licensed for use by the event.

MiDFur 13 - Fursuit Photo Shoot.

Photos previously published may be used under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-NoDerivs 2.5 Australia License (or any later version) . A non-exclusive license has been granted to the event to use and distribute the images for event-related purposes.

As part of the agreement to do the shoot I retain copyright on all images and require allowing distribution under a permissive license of my choosing.

Works Not Under Permissive Licenses

Photos of Hendikins

Any images of myself will not be licensed for reuse or distribution - this will be indicated specifically.

Photos by Other Photographers

Any photos taken by other people are not licensed for reuse or distribution unless indicated by the photographer. If a license has been specified by the photographer it will be shown.

Original and Unpublished Material

Original files and related unpublished material may be supplied on request to event organisers or people who have been photographed. Any original or unpublished material supplied will not be covered under any licenses mentioned above, and is not for redistribution or use in derivative works unless stated otherwise.
